A New Personalized Concept This is an exciting change in the seminar series. The three day in-house experience will be personalized for you and your office. You can schedule dates that are convenient for you. You can bring your staff with you so that your assistants and front office staff can experience the three days in our office as well. Plan to arrive by six o’clock the night before the course so that we can meet briefly the night before and outline the model you will be observing for you and your staff. Full days of patient care will assure you experiences in all phases of pain management, headache therapy, and joint dysfunction and dental sleep medicine. You will have one on one experiences with Dr. Glassman, as your staff learns directly from his well trained personnel. The model includes new patient concepts. You will witness many new patients as they are interviewed and examined. You will be a part of the interview process. You will observe patient flow as patients are seated and histories are taken by staff members. You’ll witness and be a part of decision making including appliance therapy, appliance adjustments and maintenance, injection therapy, iontophoresis and spray and stretch therapy. You’ll observe firsthand how finances are discussed and how medical insurance is maximized. The importance of record keeping will be emphasized as progress notes are utilized for every office visit. You will also observe the practice of dental sleep medicine from the comprehensive examination, to the appliance decision making and insertion, to the use of ambulatory studies and how communication with the sleep doctors can be done seamlessly. Of most importance is the direct observation of the model that creates the ideal atmosphere to help patients have the opportunity to be treated in a conservative fashion with appropriate expectations. Understanding the model change required to treat chronic pain, headache, and joint dysfunction will help eliminate the “fear of failure” and allow the patient to have the very opportunity that may significantly alter the quality of their lives that they may not have experienced without that change. What is exciting about this new format is that this total learning experience is one on one. There will be no one else taking the course with you except any staff members that you bring. We suggest bringing at least one assistant and one from your front office.
